Rotary World Savers is an exciting new initiative that will help every individual to reduce their impact on our natural environment.
Each week, starting in the first week of January 2022, we will produce an article outlining a specific action that you can take, as an individual. We will be answering the questions so many people have been asking in recent months, on the build up to and after COP26 in Glasgow:
- What can I do?
- What difference will it make if I make changes to my life?
- Where can I learn more about what to do?
- How can I be sure that I am part of collective action?
If you join us as a Rotary World Saver (which is free of charge), each week you will have the opportunity to commit to taking an action. Some actions will be short, simple, and easy to implement. Others will be more complex, or might require an investment. You probably will not be able to commit to every action we propose.
But when you do commit, we can tell others about it. Not your personal details of course, but we will let other Rotary World Savers know how many of us are taking a specific action.
It might be as simple as changing an old light bulb for a new low-energy one, but every little action does count, and if we can go on, in future months and years, to record the fact that thousands of people are doing something to help, we will all know that collectively we will be making a real difference.
This site is still in development, but please watch out for announcements soon about how you can sign up as one of the first Rotary World Savers.
